The AWF Delta & Bay Conservation Center (AWF DBCC) is a project of the Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF). AWF DBCC is located on 75 acres in Spanish Fort, Alabama. To the north lies the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta. To the south is Mobile Bay. Both represent world-class natural resources and outdoor adventure opportunities found right here in Alabama.
AWF’s underlying vision for AWF DBCC is to expand our existing conservation education programs in south Alabama. AWF DBCC will provide planned, outdoor education field trips for public, private, and home school groups, summer and holiday Day Camps for youth, weekday and weekend programming and use opportunities for the general public, and rental opportunities for meetings and events when they do not conflict with our primary education activities. We will also celebrate and promote outdoor adventure in Mobile Delta and Mobile Bay, including hunting, fishing, birding, and other forms of outdoor recreation and tourism. At the same time, AWF DBCC will engage AWF members and the general public in our conservation projects in the region.
AWF DBCC is a planned-use outdoor education facility consisting of multiple structural facilities, walking trails, a kayak launch, and scenic vistas. We will also provide meeting and event rental opportunities when they do not conflict with our primary conservation education programs and activities.
