+ Deer Boundary/Gator Season
In its last meeting of 2014, the Alabama Conservation Advisory Board approved a February deer season for most of the southern half of the state with one boundary tweak in Henry County, approved changes to the alligator season and agreed to implement a reporting system for red snapper landed in Alabama.

+ Hunting with Silencers will soon be legal in Alabama
The next hunting season might be a little bit more quiet than the last. Last week, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Board voted unanimously to allow hunting with silencers in the state.

+ Gulf red snapper season reduced to 9 days
Despite evidence that the red snapper fishery off Alabama is in great shape, NOAA Fisheries has set the red snapper recreational season at a record low of nine days, starting at 12:01 a.m. on June 1 and ending at 12:01 a.m. on June 10.
