

Admission to the DBCC is $5.00 per person, and children 3 and under are free. This admission allows you access to the hands-on Discovery Hall, theater, classrooms, gift shop, and hiking trails, while learning about the fascinating natural history of coastal Alabama. In addition, these facilities can be rented out for your next gathering.
DBCC is open Monday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Please note: During the week, groups may be scheduled for programs on the property. We advise calling ahead to check availability of the Discovery Hall.
Yes. Parking spots are marked near the trailheads, and some of the trails have improved surfaces to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. A ramp allows wheelchairs to safely enter into the DBCC.
Water, soft drinks, and light snacks are available in the Gift Shop located in the Discovery Hall. DBCC does not sell traditional meals or food items except during occasional special events where food availability is advertised.
You are always welcome to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it on the property.
To maximize your experience and your opportunity to encounter native wildlife, and to avoid disruption of education programs, DBCC has a NO PETS policy (except assistance dogs). Thank you in advance for honoring our NO PETS Policy.
We do not allow bikes or skateboards on any of the property.
The Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF) is the oldest and largest citizens non-profit conservation organization in Alabama. The AWF was established by sportsmen in 1935 to promote the conservation and wise use and responsible stewardship of our wildlife and related natural resources to ensure a high quality of life for present and future generations of Alabamians. AWF and our DBCC facility is funded almost exclusively through our members and supporters, including individual, foundation, and corporate support.
