Enjoy several jolly programs planned just for you on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Children can make their own natural holiday decorations and enjoy storytime with Mrs. Claus. Be sure to bring your camera to take your own photos with Santa starting at 11:00 am. Hang around in the late afternoon for the children’s candy cane scavenger hunt and merry bonfire with marshmellow roast. You can also have your own winter wonderland hike on the five miles of scenic Alabama Nature Center trails full of life and color, while learning about the fascinating natural history of central Alabama. Take the Hill Top Pass Trail to the Tree Top Walk for a spectacular view of mother nature’s explosion of color.

The Alabama Nature Center is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. General Admission is $4.00 per person/per day for ages thirteen and older, $2.00 per person/per day for age’s four to twelve, and children under three are free. Weekend passes are $5.00 per person/per weekend for ages thirteen and older, $3.00 per person/per weekend for ages four to twelve and free for children under three. All visitors of the ANC must check in at the Pavilion Outpost located inside the Lanark Pavilion before hiking on the trails or participating in weekend activities.
