To begin the JWS program, students in kindergarten will focus on the study of all living things (plants & animals) to become a JWS Biologist.
To earn the Level 1: Biologist certification, the students must take the JWS Pledge and earn the Native Plants and Alabama Wildlife badges.
For each badge, the student must complete at least three of the JWS nature notebook activities (a total of six activities for the year). The *REQUIRED and *Suggested activities for each badge are noted in the Table of Contents in the nature notebook and teacher’s guide.
